Privacy Policy
This policy covers the PassRig: CDL Practice Test app for Android (com.passrig.app) and the website passrig.com, both made by 24 Wonders Ltd ("PassRig", "we"). Plain words, no surprises. Last updated 2 November 2026.
The short version
- Your answers, progress and settings stay on your phone.
- The app has no account and never asks for your name, email or phone number.
- The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count how people use it, and RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active.
- We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use this data for advertising.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time: see Delete your data.
Stored only on your phone
Your answers, your progress, your mistakes, your state, your test date and your settings are stored on your phone and never sent to us. The app works offline. "Reset progress" in Settings deletes your answers and progress; uninstalling the app (or clearing its storage) deletes everything.
Collected by the app
Four kinds of data leave the phone. None of it includes your name, email or phone number.
| Data | What exactly | Why | Processed by |
|---|---|---|---|
| App interactions | Which screens you open, app starts and session length, and on the plans screen: that it opened, which plan you picked, and whether a trial, purchase or restore went through. | Analytics: to see which parts of the app help and where people get stuck. | Google (Google Analytics for Firebase) |
| Approximate location | Country, region and city, worked out by Google from your shortened internet (IP) address. Never your precise location; the app has no location permission. | Analytics: to know which states our users are in. | Google (Google Analytics for Firebase) |
| Device and other IDs | A random app instance ID and a Firebase installation ID created by Google's SDK; your device's advertising ID; and a random install ID created by PassRig, shown as "App ID" at the bottom of Settings. Also the device model, Android version, app version and language. | Analytics (counting users without knowing who they are), and app functionality (the install ID tells your subscription apart from other installs). | Google (analytics IDs); RevenueCat (install ID) |
| Purchase history | Which PassRig Pro plan you bought or started a trial of, the price and currency, renewals, cancellations and refunds. Google Play handles the payment; the app never sees card details. | App functionality (unlocking Pro on your phone) and analytics (counting trials, purchases and renewals). | RevenueCat; Google (reported from Google Play to our Google Analytics) |
This collection is part of how the app works and is the same for everyone; the app has no switch to turn it off. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Settings, then Privacy or Google, then Ads), and doing so stops it being collected.
Who processes it
Google runs Google Analytics for Firebase for us as a service provider, under the Google Privacy Policy. We have turned off sharing our Analytics data with Google for its own products and services, and the property is not linked to any advertising account. RevenueCat checks subscriptions for us as a service provider, under the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. Google Play handles the payment itself and keeps its own records of it. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
Security
Everything the app sends is encrypted in transit with HTTPS (TLS). The app makes no unencrypted connections.
How long it is kept
Google Analytics deletes event-level data after 2 months and user-level data 14 months after your last use of the app, as set on our property; reports that only show totals may stay longer. RevenueCat keeps your subscription record while it is needed to keep Pro working and until you ask us to delete it. Google Play's own purchase records are kept by Google under Google's policy.
Deleting your data
Email hello@passrig.com with the App ID from the bottom of Settings and we delete your subscription record within 30 days and confirm by reply. The full steps, and what can and cannot be deleted, are on Delete your PassRig data.
Children
PassRig is for people preparing for a commercial driver's licence, which needs you to be at least 18. It is not directed at children.
The website
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It sets a cookie and records pages viewed, approximate location and the type of device, with your internet address shortened. We run no ad pixels and do not use this data for advertising. You can block it with a browser setting or extension that refuses analytics cookies. Standard server logs may keep your internet address for a short time to keep the site running safely.
The early-access list
If you join the list we store your email address, your name if you gave one, the state you picked, your test date if you gave one, the time you signed up, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address that only lets us stop one connection from flooding the list. We use it to tell you about PassRig launches, such as the iPhone version, and to get the right questions ready first. Only the people building PassRig see it; it sits in our own database and is not sold, shared or handed to an email service. To be removed, email hello@passrig.com from the address you signed up with and say "remove me". We delete your row within 7 days and confirm by reply.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we update the date at the top and, for the early-access list, email you before the change takes effect. Questions go to hello@passrig.com.
